Everyone was speculation what old mons would get a new cross-gen evo/baby.

People was shocked that Budew, Chingling, Froslass and Dusknoir were a thing iirc, also the original new Gen 4 Pokemon added to the hype.

I'd be interesting to see a Wobbufett evolution, having a new mechanic playing with its punching bag concept (Like a signature move that stacks up damage like Bide, but you'd be able to release it anytime).
But knowing how they threat gimmick Pokemon (And with the Ditto evolution possibly being scrapped from the GSC demo), they probably won't even think of it.

I can still dream though.

Every gen has a jokemon. Unown is there for lore shit and as a collectible. Delibird is Farfetch'd 2.0.

Wobbuffet and Smeargle are semi usable. And have useful niches in competitive and got a lot better next few gens.

There's no way to handle a Furfrou evo unfortunately, that Pokemon has way to many forms to work.

With stuff like Meowstic or Pyroar...you can just make evolutions with gender evolutions, not a biggie.
With Minior you can just do a regular evolution with the color changes, again not a biggie.
With Mimikyu, You can still keep the ability or just make a new one or something, no biggie.
For Oriciorio, you could make an evolution like Wormadam, no biggie.

But Fufrou, probably the only pokemon that's impossible to give a new evolution.

Gen 8 will have a diferent artstyle than Gen 4, so i dont know why you guys are asuming they will be as ugly.

Gen 4 is infamous for it's ugly pokemon designs,.

Scizor's design isn't bad per se, but his aesthetic is completely divorced from Scyther's. Going from bug to full Kamen Rider is more than a bit jarring.

I will admit that my distaste for Steelix is mostly because I'm STILL angry about steel-type being a thing.
