It's not stupid, it just recognizes outside stimuli really slowly. It'll notice the pain for sure, but it may be an hour or two afterwards.

Yak is weirdly enough the best meat I’ve ever had, so the closest thing would be a Piloswine. you’ve gotta slow-braise it to get it nice and tender, but I had a yak chili at this Himalayan restaurant & it was so fucking flavorful but not even in a gamey way. it was like fucking kobe brisket. 10/10 would eat a slow-braised piloswine chili.

also, curried gogoat would be p tasty as well

rabbit meat is only seen as a bit of a luxury because you can't commonly get it in supermarkets
on farmsteads or in rural areas where rabbits are commonly kept for food they're nothing special, their meat is greasty and stringy and not as rich tasting as chicken which is what people most often compare it to, you have to drown it in sauce
