What new moves do you want to see in Sword and Shield, anons?

I'll go first: a Ghost-type draining health move, equivalent to Giga Drain or Horn Leech.

Pic related is my favorite new move in Sun and Moon.

On that note, we should get a Poison move that can paralyze. Lots of Dex entries, like Seismitoad's, talk about the paralytic effects of poison but not a single move combines this move typing with the paralysis status.

The gimmick is that if your last move failed, Stomping Tantrum will do double damage

It's situational but absolutely murders in the right circumstances

1. Single target (relevant in Doubles)
2. Doubles to 150 BP if previous move fails.

This unique effect makes it a great coverage option.

Arbok uses Gunk Shot. Foe switches into Steel type. No effect. Arbok uses Stomping Tantrum. 150 BP coverage ground attack.

You can do gimmicky stuff with it too, like Fissure/Stomping Tantrum spam, and it synergizes with Rest/Sleep Talk sets.

I don't know what to call it, but a move that has priority over Protect/Detect/Spiky Shield/etc. and causes the user to take a big amount of damage (like half health maybe) if they use any of those moves. To balance it out, you would take damage (but not as much) if the opponent uses anything else.

Got it. I like that idea. Something like +1 Atk, +1 Sp. Atk if your move is resisted. If it's low enough base power I could see it getting wide distribution among Bugs. Good synergy with Tinted Lens.

I honestly want them to just make a Double-Edge equivalent for Electric-types in general rather than just Pikachu. Just make Volt Tackle like Head Charge or even Head Smash and Pika can keep his special snowflake move, but wouldn't hold back physical electric-types in the process.

Yeah just basically some good Physical Ice attack, a bit stronger than ice-Punch like 90 base power, and because Ice Hammer is just for one fucking horrible pokemon...

I also be okay with a special dark type attack, cauz there are only four and, yup dark Pulse almost every Pokémon have it, but for little pokémon like zorua and elsa for adventure time we get the TM for it

Personally, I like the more gimmicky moves.
I would be in favor of more accuracy boosting moves, such as one that would boost your Sp. Att and accuracy, similar to Hone Claws
Maybe another one that would boost accuracy and increase crit chance as well

I've wanted a Physical attack that deals damage based off of the user's Defense stat instead of their Attack stat for ages. It could even have the same interaction with Stance Change as King's Shield does, because Aegislash certainly isn't broken enough no siree bob.

Definitely needs a weak one for in game. Most NFEs are either mixed or special, but poor Snubbull doesn't get Play Rough until level 37.
Maybe 60BP or multi-hit so Technician Pokemon can use it for coverage

I got an idea: you know how most special Normal moves involve sound, right? Well to help out the Rock type, we should give it more special moves.

So make stone/rock-related moves physical, and crystal/gemstone-related moves special. We already have Power Gem, so make things like Crystal Spikes (special Accelerock), Crystal Beam (Rock-type Ice Beam/Flamethrower/Thunderbolt with chance to flinch), Crystal Crash (Rock-type Blizzard/Fire Blast/Thunderbolt, also with a chance to flinch), etc.

It'd calm down Crystalfags and reinforce the idea that the Rock type IS the Crystal type (something which has always been true, but GF have never really shown that.) It'd also make the Rock type open to more diverse designs, with physical rock types looking pale and rigid while special Rock types look jagged and colorful.

I.e. wild charge is probably the best physical electric move but recoils for some stupid ass reason despite 90 bp, thunder fang is too weak to use
I get strong moves and all but I don't want to rely on moved that recoil, sometimes I get the instance when both Pokemon faint and my mon doesn't get exp, etc etc
Do this for all types for all Pokemon that would really need it

We already have Earth Power and Power Gem, I'd argue just distributing them more (maybe even make them TMs and allow them to be used as coverage moves) would fix it fine.
