It's based on sea slugs and Lou Carcolh, it should be Water/Dragon or vice versa. Literally everything it could be based on and probably is based on leads more to Water/Dragon than Bug/Dragon.

Wish they'd just make the Trapinch line Bug and Bug/Dragon. Along with the Gligar line and Drapion they're the only non-bug types in the bug egg group, there is no bug/dragon type pokemon, and Flygon gets completely crowded-out by Garchomp and Zygarde in ground/dragon.

What would quiver dance even do for Flygon? Even if it's entirely outclassed by chomp or zygarde as a physical attacker, he's still better off as a dragon dancer than suddenly trying to be a special attacker. Doubt tinted lens will help either since his two stabs are mostly countered by immunities rather than resistances.
I really can't see how they would be able to fix flygon since it's big problem is simply not enough stats. Only way I can see them fixing flygon if if they make it a special snowflake and give it a bullshit signature ability or move like an ability that let's him ignore immunities or something

Generally nobody considers Slugs and Snails bugs. Bugs are generally related to insects and most arachnids. Things with multiple legs essentially. Slugs/Snails are closer to mollusks, even normies don't consider them bugs, just gross.

Either way I never said it wouldn't be fine as Bug/Dragon, just that Water/Dragon makes far more sense and I agree with the original anon, that's all.

For a start to differentiate it from both Zygarde and Garchomp it should be specially based. Given its lore, dex entries and appearance it surely looks like a special attacker anyhow. Special attacking Ground type is also a cool niche. I know it has a useable special attack (80?) but it should be higher than it's attack at 100.
