Game recommendations for /vp/

Hi everyone, I've noticed that the only JRPGs a lot of you on this board have played are Pokemon games. Nothing wrong with that, but there are a lot of incredible games out there you would enjoy too. They really put the difficulty in games into perspective and make ultra necrozma seem like a cakewalk. This is only a list of a few games I have personally played so if there are any more not on the list please recommend them too.

>Persona/SMT
These games are probably the most similar to Pokemon. You recruit personas/demons to fight alongside you and they can evolved and also fused into more powerful demons. Persona 5 is the most accessible and least difficult but is incredible. Persona 3 and 4 are also amazing too. Just finished SMT Nocturne and it's a lot harder than the Persona games (if you dont grind for broken demons that is) but is the most similar to Pokemon. SMT 5 is coming out in the near future too.

>Octopath Traveler
Amazing switch exclusive. Not too difficult once you get the hang of it but Jesus Christ the true final boss is on a whole different level.

>Golden Sun
Only played the 2 gameboy ones but they were amazing

>Mother series
An incredibly creative and revolutionary series with a unique sense of humor. They also did a great job with the fan translation of mother 3. Mother 1 is good too but has some issues and is a but harder to get in to

>anything Xeno
The Xenoblade games are obviously masterpieces but Xenogears is my favorite game of all time. It has its issues but the story is the best I have ever seen in a game. Just started Xenosaga 1 and I'm enjoying it (but why the fuck is circle x and x circle?)

>the Tales series
Only played Vesperia but holy shit I loved it. Heard great things about some of the others too.

>Fire Emblem
Essentially battle themed chess where you move your characters around the map to dispel formations of enemies

There's definitely more, but that's a few off the top of my head.
