I’ve never owned a 3DS, so the latest Pokémon games I’ve played are Black/White. Do you think I am missing out on a lot? I get jealous when I think of them because the 3DS games seem pretty comfy, I love the idea of Pokémon taking place somewhere like France and in 3D. Am I really missing out, or are these games not as cool as they seem?

personally love SM but think XY are pretty forgettable, but most of this board gets gen 6/7 so that's why I suggest just emulating

BW2 is godlike

XY are mediocre

OrAs are incredibly mediocre

SM are objectively worse than USUM

USUM are pretty good but still not as good as BW2

USUM is better than people want to admit. It's got more post game content than SM, XY, and ORAS respectively (a la Rainbow Rocket and UB looker Quest). It makes BW2 sweat nervously, but not profusely.

They're all very good but also emulable now so unless you have a 2010 PC just get citra and play them there, you'll be missing the online which is probably the best thing about them but at least you get to play the games

They are best played as a pair, probably moreso than any other games in the series. I wouldn't say its required but BW2 builds on BW in such a way that you'll appreciate both more if you've played the other.
