I have some info about gen 8 games. It comes from a Japanese friend of mine that works at GF.
The problem is that I'm not sure if he was telling the truth or just baiting me (it wouldn't be the first time though).
So take it with a huge grain of salt.

Nevertheless this the info:

-apparently this generation will have a lot of new pokemon, more than any other so far

-there will be a lot of new cross generational pokemon

-no new Mega evolutions, but you can still obtain all mega stones in the post game

-no regional variants
-no armored evolution or anything similar

-the mewtwo remake movie will be used to promote some new pokemon

-apparently there will be new eeveelutions but I don't know anything about their types

I don't have any information about starter evolutions

I'm not sure if these are true or fake and honestly I can't prove it either.
