It literally did not do this. It's practically a 1:1 remake with few exceptions.

Only ones I can recall is the ship and it was still roughly similar. Granite Cave got access to the second floor locked out and had a big room added and New Mauville was the same but straightforward. I believe it also added a bunch of mirage spots that had 1-2 small rooms with no depth. And of course that island with the maiason. That’s not really much compared to Seafoam, Viridian, Cerulean Cave, Pokeathlon, and those two new routes added.

Yeah cherypicking at its finest. Seafoam and Viridian practically changed nothing. In Viridians case its a 1 to 1 replica of the original with a few stairs added here and there. Its still has the exact same layout and theme as the originals. This is nowhere comparable to whats happened with Mauville city and Sea mauville whixh got an overwhaul in layout and themes. Mauville was a small town in RSE but in ORAS its a technological marvel that hosts a massive mall, a living quarters and an open area at the very top. With Sea Mauville it went from being an abandoned ship to an abandoned work project after all of its workers were being abused and the pokemon in theenviroment were being killed. Ill gige you cerulean cave beacuse it was nice of them to add that but the last two are pretty meh arguemtns because the new Pokeathlon area is practically the same as the Battle resort in terms of how much they added and whilst you bash the mirage spots and praise two routes, you prove that youre nkthibg more than idiot. The mirage spots hold way more contemt than the routes do. They have legendaries to catch, exclusive Pokemon, TMs, unlimited fossils, loads of trainers etc.

You wouldve been customizing already canon characters that already had art and shit. Calem and Serena were new, Sun and Moon or whatever their names are were new, the LGPE protags were new and, assuming Sword and Shield have customization, those two are new as well.
