i guess the bigger difference is the distortion world and stuff.
But there are more pros to platinum than DP
Dare i say, there are only pros to platinum, and i see distortion world as just an extra cool thing added.

Less polished HP bars and menu setups, as well as the regular pokeball on the touch screen instead of having the ugly button in the middle like in Platinum. Also, Dawn's exposed arms.

Even then, you could breed Snorlax for one without too much trouble in other games. Purugly is no more available than Glameow is so that isn't an option.
