Though i see the problem with going this route, on on hand you get intelligent 'pokemon-like' beings and giving you the chance to catch them would feel wrong
And if they made them uncatchable bosses people would complain
There's also that this wouldn't 'feel' like a pokemon game and i doubt post-BW Gamefreak would take another chance to deviate from the usual formula
