I'm liking LGPE even though everyone here shits on it. Being able to judge stats without having to fly to a specific area and do every Pokémon individually is great

Unpopular opinion but I agree, it was fun for what flaws it had, and they rarely got in the way of my enjoyment. Shiny hunting has never been better with overworld spawns, and EV training isn’t a boring slog (albeit they went too far with candy’s capabilities), but whoops, better not try to bring overworld spawns in gen 8 or else they’ll notice how bad the engine is trying to chug with 900+ (and shiny) unique Pokémon models.

Makes things simpler, and sometimes simpler is good.
I'm taking my time on it personally, only gotten halfway through, and the only kinda shit part so far was the gap between 3rd and 4th gym.

LGPE is like fast food. I know it's bad, and that it's bad for me but I still generally have fun popping it in and playing from time to time when I don't really want to think much. Being able to view IVs from the menu though was an absolute blessing too. I like the IV/EV system personally but not being able to see them at this point was pretty much a mistake.

I never see it mentioned much but on RBG there is data that suggests that moves may have been able to have two secondary effects. For example, in the final game Psychic only has a chance to lower the special stat but it also was goimg to have a even smaller chance of lowering accuracy.

It's a weird detail that I feel really could have effected gameplay had it stayed in.
