The formula for Gen I Pokemon games:
Starter - Gyms - boss fight - 8th gym - elite four - postgame.
Gen II - VII? Mix and match here and there, but basically the same principals.
2. This is an honest to god opinion, but starting from Gen III, the art and style for Pokemon are changing. They become "less" of a monster, if you get what I'm saying. This ends in Gen V. The next evolution is in Gen VI. They do not look like monsters at all. They look like cartoon creatures with big heads and eyes that are meant to appeal to little children... GF's largest audience.
They don't care for the older fans. They really don't. Us fans above 24 year olds are an afterthought in the form of Battle Maison.
3. I love Pokemon, I really do. I want it to succeed and appeal not to just kids, but us older fans. I'm sad that they keep ripping us off with mediocre, barely finished products of first versions.
