They should really implement LODs.
That way you could save on performances and still have more detailed models when you're close to them.

Does it really matter if a pokémon is two-staged or even single-staged rather than three-staged? At the end of day it's the last stage that matters.

when you're playing through a game rather than doing competitive sperging, it's evolutions themselves that are fun - that's where the mystery & surprise is. after i get to the final forms i stop really caring since they're fully developed.

that's why i fucking hate shit like with vespiquen and salazzle where only one gender evolves, or bullshit like basculin where it looks like it'll evolve but doesn't.

also fuck trade evos but all us loners here agree with that

Because everything there looks off.
The trees, the water and especially the grass look like they were cut out from different 3DS games and stuck together.
It doesn't look natural at all.

We always get 100 new Pokemon in a game, if you count alternate forms and such as "new Pokemon." Gen VI had 48 Mega Evolutions and 2 Primal Reversions on top of the other forms Pokemon had. Gen VII had 18 regional variants and plenty of Pokemon with different forms or formes. The number of actual new Pokemon doesn't matter as much if we still get 100 new designs overall. Regional variants for instance added nothing to the actual dex number, but they still felt like new and separate Pokemon from the originals; most of them had rare and/or unique type combinations and different base stats to distinguish themselves.

Post-game is subjective because no matter what GF does, hardcore fans will clear the post-game in 1-2 hours tops and just get straight to breeding and online battling/trading.
