The girl’s is a little too “summer vacationy”. It does not give off at all that she’s supposed to be a Pokémon Trainer, especially if you took that ball out of her hand.

At least with the boy, his back, hat design, and lower body wear gives off that feeling that he’s about to go on a workout or a short hike.

Personally I just prefer the detailing and colors from the original Gold design. Like not even talking art direction here just things like the gold pants, the ball holder on the hoodie, the fact that he's wearing a hoodie in general are all things I like better.

I think my main issue with these current designs is the stupid black lines under their eyes.
I've gone and removed those and I think they look leagues better now.
Ethan still doesn't even compare to the chad Gold though.
