Are all copies of Soul Silver cursed? I've never had such terrible Werster tier luck than in this game
>trying to catch a Scyther
>5% encounter rate in an event that's on specific days
>first encounter is with a Butterfree I can't escape from
>uses stun spore
>can't heal because no items allowed and only one Pokemon allowed
>run into a Scyther second encounter
>get paralyzed 4 times in a row and die
>find another, my quick attack crits and one hits it
>find a third, get it to 5% health but it keeps breaking out
>gets 2 crits in a row from pursuit and lose
>finally manage to catch one
>terrible nature, no Tactician
This coupled with losing to Faulkner because his Pidgey used a single sand attack that caused me to miss 5 times in a row, makes me never want to see Johto ever again
