>pokemon selection is basically the same unless you play like 30 minutes a day and use the pokewalker a fucktonFalse. The safari zone and the new areas add: Doduo, Larvitar, Kangaskhan, Misdreavus, Cubone, Clefairy, Diglett, Mr. Mime, Rhyhorn, Grimer, and a no trade Steelix at reasonable levels. Also, the Pokeathalon adds evolution stones and Voltorb flip makes getting Dratini early, easy. You sacrifice The early Phanphy, Teddiursa, and Sneasel but that's a small price to pay
>doesn't fix level scaling at allYou have half a point. I'm going trough Kanto right now and the Gym Leaders all have Pokemon above my level and the NPC's are a few levels under. In Johto, my team was always somewhere around where the other trainers were. However, the level jump from the Kanto Leaders to The rematch Elite 4 is too big and the jump to Red from there is ridiculous without the badge stat boosts in the originals.
>kanto is STILL boring as fuckKanto is the most threadbare region, there's no denying that. However, they did add back Cerulean Cave, Viridian Forest, and the Seafoam Islands while expanding caves in Johto and Kanto. Between all the legendary hunts and Gym Leader boss rush I'm having a blast in Kanto.
>doesn't have the nostalgic music/graphics of GSCGB Sounds isn't perfect, but it's close enough, and the arrangements here aren't superior to the original but they're fine. As for the graphics, I miss Crystal's animations and the different Sprites between versions, but those are minor complaints. I think the actual Pokemon sprites here look better than everything after Crystal and the overworld, while you lose a little of the atmosphere from the originals, is colorful and has some highlights for the series.
