I actually thought this was gonna happen in the old days,
steel being weak to ground, fight and fire is enough desu.
it would also make electric broken unless you want to make it weak to something else.

Everywhere outside a lab water acts as a conductor due to what's in it. Gamefreak isn't thinking so scientifically. Water + zappy = shock everything in it so it's weak too it, metal should follow the same rules and shock the squishy bits inside the metal armor.
