You sound like you didn't like what I said, but it's true, powercreep is not exclusive to Pokémon, but also MC's. Firstly, it was just a kid from a small town, same for Gen 2, taking on crime organizations single handedly, but in later gens, the power fantasies were cranked up to 11, and what we see now is the current peak.
