>>38068301Nah. It's limitation and laziness.
>They totally should of done that or similar though.>that sprite is awfulI always thought of them as a poorly drawn, oversized, 1x1 tile concrete fencepost/barrier/pilebunker made to match the style of having a couple counties rife of fully grown trees which are the same size as approx. one 14 year old boy.
ffs the truck is the same size as the potted plants and sofas. This barrier is a generalized AF sprite that can be used anywhere without any effort to make them blend. I guess it was too much money to go back to put more actual fences in lol
Actually I think a lot of the fences wouldn't jive well as there is no layering. I bet things like Nugget Bridge which I write about below wouldn't look right as there would be too much white space between the bridge deck and the water. Later they made it into a pointless land bridge but no way in hell you could guess that in gen 1 and 2
Just look at Nugget Bridge or route 24,. It was lined with them and yet there exists the field to bills (route 25) also has them and who the fuck would want a bunch of lights in your yard ruining your beach and view of the ocean? Cause its post like barrier they just place so you have limits so they don't have to make anything more north of Cerulean than Bills house AND not taking the easy way to Bills. Also why aren't they lining side walks and streets like in Saffron everywhere? Why are they Lining the periphery of the harbour in Vermillion? 'Cause they're not lights.
Kinda cool idea but not a very good one in regards to the intent of its use.
