I'm a powerlevel autist, so I want high powerlevels. Ideally Pikachu should be taking a gunshot to the face and just shrug it off, to demonstrate scale. I'll also be happy if he wrecks a car or a house or something.

I like how it subverts expectations of it being a "kid's movie" and is much more jaded and cynical than the average Pokemon media production. I like Ryan's portrayal of Pikachu but Justice Smith is meh. I don't like the fart jokes and explosions though.

I want a new Pokemon to debut in Detective Pikachu, but that won't happen.
