The games want to tell this story about other dimensional aliens, a girl overcoming her fears but for the most part still focus on a young boy/girl who wants to become Alola's new champ. Its a sour mix where Lillie and UBs distract from your journey but at the same time people who are there for the story don't get much either because everything happens from the perspective of this mute, smiling creep.
What I'm looking for is a game that really goes all out on the story, with how stagnant and money printing the franchise is, they could really try it for once.
Just kinda imagine if Lillie/Gladio were the playable MC in S/M and the big finale wasn't defeating Kukui but rather jellyfish Lusamine.
