It is still a sensitive subject in the UK, most people are still alive who fought there, being British Military, IRA, civilians and so on.
I knew two people who fought over there as military personal, one was assigned to infultrate the IRA. He was tortured as an initiation, now, before he died, if he heard an IRA members name he would have a mental breakdown.
The other was left by his unit after a house raid, he walked over 2 miles back to his base scared he would be attacked.
I have family on both sides of NI and British issues. My Great Grand Father went unarmed with a group to face the British.
There are better ways to solve things, I only condone war when all other options are used.
