Mars being the Roman name for Ares, the god of war. In Japan, Ariana was named Athena, named after the greek goddess of wisdom, who was also heavily associated with warfare herself. You could even say Ariana(Athena) is the mother to Mars in the same way that the Greek pantheon preceded to Roman pantheon.
Lastly, Rocket and Galactic both share sort of a space theme. Like mother, like daughter, both of them basically lusting after their respective bosses. Nothing's confirmed, mind you, but there are some loose connections there and it's something entertaining to think about.
