After beating the Gym leader you will receive the 'Hurricane' badge. It is a typical vortex shape with a lighting bolt running through it and a hole in the centre, to represent the moves Thunder and Hurricane which both skip accuracy checks during rain.
You will also receive a TM for Giga Drain.
This Gym is sort of a microchosm or highlight reel of my journey through generations III and IV, from landing on the shores of
Normandy Slateport, to slogging through the rainforest up to Fortree and crunching through snow on my way to Snowpoint.
The collection of keys to continue through the Gym is symbolic of the way you collect key items to reach new parts of each region.
My hope is that this Gym will elicit a moment of reflection from the player and how far they've come.
While writing this I also thought a bit about the town the Gym resides in. I'm thinking of some kind of high-tech agrarian town surrounded by crop fields.
The town proper would be home to these greenhouses where plants and pokemon from all around the world are raised in carefully crafted environments.
Naturally, this town would be home to both a safari zone and a herb shop, maybe even a flower shop like on route 104.
