These should've been the only divine legends to ever exist. Why they continue to create more and ruin things boggles me. The Gen V legends are decent but there's too many of them and other than the main ones they serve no lore purpose basically.

Half the ones in your image don't serve any sort of 'lore purpose', it was really only Gen 3 and 4 who tried to make Legendaries a Greek pantheon.

In our world, there are tons of different beliefs, many with their own deities and the like. I think it's nice for each region to have that, since it adds more to their culture and lore.

Yes but don't burst their bubble because they can't accept legendaries pokemon just being powerful cryptids of local legends that actually exist and not everything in media needing Western Tolkien levels of lore.

One thing sould be noted about the "tail"- all the tails on gen 1 were outlined, this one, however, is the only one that does not- which mean it might not be a tail at all

Anon, Arceus yeeted a lvl 1 legendary egg out of nothing. Pretty sure there's something to them than just being Pokémon.

I favour the idea that Arceus's actual ability is to convince people it created the universe rather than actually to create the universe

Even if this means I can't also go with the idea that Arceus deletes the universe and then remakes it from scratch with one difference any time an egg is made

What if instead of being scrapped entirely, Gorochu was combined with the design they already had for Electabuzz? We know Electabuzz existed already, but we don't know how different it was during the time Gorochu was scrapped, or even why they thought it would be a good idea to have two electric based Oni pokemon.
