best case scenario it will be their last games with all regions and all pokemon available plus a ton more, with all the stupid past gimmicky shit added in, pokemon following you, possibly open world, good music hopefully, etc etc
and as a bonus there's a mainline story before all the extra stuff and it's the best and deepest one to date
but all of this is several quintillion light years away in fantasy world

Yet people also use it for competitive scene in general. This scene is also broken as literally only 10 pokemon per gen are ever high enough tier to be viable. The power inbalance and power creep is off the scale.

I'd prefer that than the usual bullshit of each gen dropping features and feeling as dull/unfinished as the rest. I don't need a gigantic game with all the regions, just a big one with actual length and replay-ability that doesn't feel brain dead. But then again I've accepted that Pokémon has been stagnant for years and nobody wants to see it improve or change. /vp/ even has a gamefreak defense force for fuck's sake

I've played everything but X/Y. Pokemon being 3D or not has fuck all to do with its quality. The games got shit at the same time they went to 3D, that's true, but 3D is not the reason for it.

Here's some shit I would do, feel free to rate.

I have more things I'd like to add, but I don't know how to explain them very well. That's a basic outline of how I would prefer a Pokemon game though.

Your Donphan pic made me realize how cool it was to see it roll on itself to attack in Colosseum/XD/Revolution.
