>>38092612>from Cronus to IzanamiNeither of those are primordial gods lol. Greek myth almost always begins with Chaos, a formless being/substance from which a number of other major gods are spawned (like Gaia, Uranus and Tartarus). Amenominakanushi is the Shinto creation god, who came into being alone and then created a male and female progenitor deity, who in turn birthed Izanagi and Izanami. There's also personifications of Energy and Heaven. None of these primal deities are worshipped, there are no shrines dedicated to them and they are said to have hidden themself away after the act of creation. Arceus is a mish-mash of different mythologies.
>born from an egg that spawned from nothingness (countless religions have this concept)>thousands arms (reminiscent of many Bodhisattva depictions)>white bipedal mammal-like thing (might reference Zeus and other gods that take on the form of animals)>Ar-ceus (the -ceus is probably also taken from Zeus)
