So what gimmicks do you think gf are gonna use for the future games?

armor evolution... i'd need more details. i concede it's possible but i question the notion that they'd create a new evolution type that always produces steel types, seems really lopsided.
trainer joining i don't believe would ever happen

i think full party battles (not rotation-style) could become a thing at some point.
i also would be supportive of the idea of light srpg style battles where you can both attack and move in a grid every time, with each move having a designated range, but i'm not sure they'd do it.

Adding in armor evolution would be retarded when mega evolution is already a thing, it's pretty much the same thing, just without the stones being universal. There's no reason GF couldn't give lots of mons multiple ME's.

They already have types of fusion, and with the Dialkia statue in gen 4, with potential remakes this gen, fusion would work well in introducing that statue as an actual Pokémon among others

we don't need any more gimmicks, the only one i liked was regional forms and i'm not even sure if that counts
armoured evolutions are a terrible idea, the designs would all be just random pokemon wearing armours and everyone would be steel type, it's pretty retarded. besides, the only time an armoured pokémon was featured was in the mewtwo movie where team rocket forced mewtwo to wear an armor that weakened it. i don't see how it could happen in the games unless it was used by the evil team to catch the box legendaries or something easily.

Hopefully this armor evolution is bullshit. An alternative to mega is not necessary, just add more mega.
Fusion would be interesting but would never be viable unless unless the fusion happen outside battle or it doesn't take up party slots.

Megas are already non-universal, only Z-moves are and even then there is a good amount of unique ones, it also wouldn't be the first time GameFreak repackaged a feature.

Not necessarily in Gen 8, but i think we'll eventually get a gimmick involving the trainer more directly in the battle. Maybe Trainer Levels, and some kind of powerup related to it (either passive or active).

The most next to it was Ruby(Law), Sapphire(Chaos), Emerald(Neutral) but you decide the faction when you buy the game, not during the gameplay.

Armors dont have to be steel type. There could be grass type wooden ones, ones made of rock, etc.
