Screens and U-turn in Pokemon Reborn. Wasn't great but if it's usable in Reborn it's probably good enough for the main games.

Terrible, outside of maybe setting up screens. It can't really take a hit, and it does no damage. GameFreak clearly realized it needed a boost in Gen 5, but they gave it Iron Fist as its hidden ability. Like a 30% boost to punching moves coming off of 35 Attack actually does anything.

I used it in ultra sun.
Basicaly had to avoid using it in any major battle.
Although after teaching it Focus Blast, with Air Slash and Bug Buzz, it kind of started holding its own against normal trainers. But even then, there's only so much it can do with base 55 special attack. I was basically forcing myself to use it at that point.

Ledian keeps yelling at me like if she was some kind of reverse pokemon trainer for persons
But besides of that I prefer to go for special attacker Ladybug pal, set mirror screen and then spam . Those 4 punch seems enticing to use in combat but the problem is that she can't hit really hard.
I mean, a Quilava could potentially cause more harm using their tiny paws and they don't even have punches like Ledian.

Despite everything, Ledian will always be the best lady bug of all the Bug-type pokemon Haha

You basically have to minmax to get it to work.
Iron Fist, Adamant, 31 Attack IVs, train to get 252 Attack EVs before anything else.
Then teach it Swords Dance for one. After a single SD its Attack is actually at a usable level. Other than that, taught mine Bug Bite, Aerial Ace, and Drain Punch. Slapped a Bug, Flying, or Fighting Z-Crystal on it depending on my needs at the time.

It was actually usable in-game. Just don't expect it to do work in competitive.

Just like everything else, it usable in-game you can set up screens + u-turn, I often used it for baton passing.

But the thing will still have a hard time taking a hit from those stupid high BST mons that aren't 10 levels below it.

Ledian is definitely ones of those mons that deserve a mega evo though

Seriously, giving ledian iron fist and a great movepool with a bunch of punches(including mach punch) but fucking 35 base attack is the biggest middle finger since giving flareon no physical fire attacks and no dragon dance to flygon.

I was thinking that it'd need some mega beedrill level Min-Maxing but yeah, going the mawile route with pure power makes more sense. This would maybe bump it up to mega kang level.

Also the fighting typing makes sense and would really help against stealth rock spamming.

Used one in moon, but as much as it pains me to say, it becomes real deadweight around half the game. I gave it the bug z-move for it to deal some form of damage, but it didn't do much otherwise. I don't like setting up screens in-game, so I refused to use it for that.

In fangames and hack roms, if it's in my power, I will edit it into bug/fighting, give it iron fist, and edit its stats and movepool, to have a fast alternative to heracross. It's fun.

I want Mega Ledian to have high speed and Huge Power. There is no other mon with Huge/Pure Power and high speed. Something like 75 Atk and 115 Speed wouldn't break it.

With a new 95 atk + huge power, you're looking at a 190 attacker with swords dance + priority + able to tank special attacks.

A 115 speed wont help much when everyone and their mom is scarfed or has a faster revenge killer.

There's already pure power mega medicham with a decent 100 speed and it's still slightly outclassed by azzumaril and mawile since one has priority and the other can tank.

You know people don't just put together teams of six scarfers, right? Mega Ledian still has niches over all three with boosts, coverage, stab u-turn, and priority. It does a little bit of everything but doesn't have the immediate punch (heh) or the omnipresent bulk and defensive typings of the latter two.
