Indigo League was Ash losing because Team Rocket tired out his Pokemon, Squirtle being disqualified for falling asleep, and Charizard refusing to battle at all.

I think BW's League had the least ammount of battling in it.
Ash had a 1v1 vs Trip, a 3v3 vs Stephan and a 6v5 lol against Cameron. Everything else was mostly off-screen fights. He never even fought Vergil.

Yes. Kanto, Unova and Kalos were all horrible leagues, but Unova was the worst of them.

It was cool to see Sceptile taking down a legendary though. Also, I wish he used a better team against Tobias. I get his Sinnoh team was tired out, but we should've gotten Charizard or Squirtle coming back for that shit too. Heracross, Pikachu, and Sceptile were the only Pokemon in that battle that pulled their weight.
Heracross should've been the one to knock Darkrai out.

Ash's battles against Sawyer and Alain were both great up to the very moment that he lost. Pikachu put in fucking work against Tyranitar and Metagross, for instance. People tend to forget this.
