>>38101469Fair? Now let me tell you what it doesn't have in comparison to say...Platinum.
-No sense of your Pokemon being needed to keep you safe
-Platinum made it feel like Pokemon weren't something to fuck with
-LGPE turned a battle for a new mon from what should be a test of strength to tame a beast to a carnival game.
-Routes felt dangerous because you needed a shit ton of medicine tonget through them.
-Exp share was bound to one pokemon
-Platinum to my knowledge didn't have a giant ass tunnel with NOTHING in it.
-More than the original 151.
The ONLY thing I will give LGPE is the following Pokemon(which get caught on walls). Pokemon is already a relatively easy going franchise, LGPE made it too easy.
>Trainers were always out leveling youYou know why? Because gaining exp in that game is the most boring thing in the world so you never level up. Instead of going on an adventure full of peril, inescapable battles, and THEN trainer battles. You are forced to catch Pokemon that you already caught in order to level and trade all of them away which makes it feel more like an assembly line where Pokemon now just feel like tools to get candy. Than a living, breathing thing that you had to work for.
