Literally I have no idea why it's so absurd to expect a game series on a current-gen HOME console to look up to snuff with other games.

Minecraft's blockiness is part of its charm. No one is like, "Hey! I love Pokemon's charming shitty graphics!"

I'm not gonna bring it up as much as other people do on this board, but it's hard to be ecstatic with the direction of the BRAND NEW HD POKEMON GAME that I've been waiting for for decades.

I don't know. I think we will get one eventually but I can't see Nintendo announcing a stronger and a weaker version of a console back to back like that. The 3DS XL, 2DS, and New 3DS were all announced a year apart for example. Since LGPE and Smash both just sold Switch units without much problem I think they'll only go with the powered version leaving the Casual one in the dust. If they're going to announce one at all. The 2DS and New 3DS were both announced in August and the 3DSXL was announced two weeks after E3 for example and Nintendo doesn't always care about E3.

all the unfinished edges, hovering objects and absolute shit tier looking overworld objects were fixed before released both in XY++ and LGPE. Nugget bridge for example.

Hoping for better textures might be a stretch.
But there's a lot of shit people complain about that most certainly will be gone by the time they're released.

Textures changed in XY so it's not a total stretch. Luminous's streets were re-done and they added details to flesh them out more. SM saw minor fixes too and both XY and ORAS had NPCs placement done later as the towns and areas were hollow in the trailers.
