Assuming that the League starts in Summer and ends in Fall like the Kalos League, what's the last arc before Winter (Sword & Shield's release) going to be?

Unlike back then, they already adapted the villain arc and all of the other game content.

And that's all it is. They don't touch post-game content unless they rushed through the main game stuff too fast and need filler to pass the time until the next generation.

Gen 8 comes out this year, so there isn't a need for a filler arc.

OP isn't talking about a filler arc. He's talking about an arc to end the series with in the last ten or so episodes after the league. Like the Team Flare arc, except this time not a villain arc since they already did that.

I'm not suggesting it would be an entire filler season. I only brought that up to show that they have absolutely no qualms with using post-game content.
They could easily fit an RR arc into 10-20 episodes. With pacing that tight, it might even be good.

Do you have a source to back that up? Like a poll that's comparing all 809 or so Pokemon and not just the Pokemon belonging to the main cast of the SM anime? Because the popularity of Lana's Eevee and the popularity of Eevee as a whole are two very different things and I'd hate to see anyone confuse one for the other.
