April 8 trailer will reveal info on starters and tease a mystery in the region + a new battle merchanic.

Water starter is a special attacker
Fire and grass are physical

Over 20 new abilities, mostly exclusive to gen 8 pokemon

New moves expanding the terrains:

Heavy Spoilers:
Cover Legendaries are two canine.
One is red, one is blue, they are identical.
They are already roaming the region, not awakened from slumber like every other legendary.

They each have a signature item.
Strike Orb
Guard Orb

They are found as a key item called the Unknown Artifact.

Armored Evolution does exist but does not play a role in the story.
Only two Pokemon have armored forms in the game.
Armored Mewtwo available in the postgame.
Armored Charizard available as an event.

New Megas do exist, but most are not attainable until the postgame.

Plot Spoilers
Cutscene at hill's figure when you meet with friends.
They leave you alone, cutscene happens where a legendary dog-like beast appears and leads you into a secret passage to a cave inside the hills.
The dog is not be the same in every game.
At the end of the cave is nuggets and items that sell for high, but also item called the Unknown Artifact.

Leave the cave, your friends return and question where you went, the entrance is no longer there.
You give the artifact to professor. After 4th gym, he stops you and returns it as the Strike Orb or the Guard Orb depending on the game.

Legendary Spoilers
Professor tells ancient story of three dogs that served King in the past. The beast that lead you into the cave was one of those 3, depends on the starter picked.

Before 5th gym, friends stop you and ask if you heard the professor being attacked. These are the same villains fought earlier on a dock. Friends reveal they are Team Storm.

After 5th gym, the evil team captures friend and admin fights you.
Defeat him and he gives you a note from the boss, inviting you to rescue friend, also telling you to bring the Strike / Guard Orb with you.

Meet professor before the 7th gym, tells you story about when he was young and his old friend.
Story of how old friend went missing long ago. He was also mentioned by people in the first town who praised the professor and the friend back in the day.

Professor and him challenged the elite four back in the day. He tells you he thinks you are up for the challenge. Professor acts mysterious and tells you to be careful and walks away.

After gym 7 you can enter evil hideout. Another admin guards last door before the boss.

Cutscene, boss introduced, he sits on his chair and offers to return friend safely if you comply.
He puts an artifact on the table and reveals that it is the Strike / Guard Orb. (opposite)

Boss reveals his group attacked the professor a while back.
The admin cuts in and she teases why the player thinks they would attack the professor like that.

She reveals professor actually came to them, right in their base. Reveals the boss himself is a renowned researcher, as good as the professor.

Professor announced the artifact found and came requesting help to uncover at his lab.

Boss reveals he and the professor go way back, and says they succeeded in uncovering it, three orbs separated from it.

They matched ancient scriptures they studied long ago.

Two are the Strike Orb and Guard Orb.

Boss tries to take orbs for research, professor denies, and they battled.

Each ended with one orb, the third one fell and disappeared.

Boss reveals the orb belongs to Legendary Pokemon once revered in this region.
Requests you join to help find Legendaries and uncover the region's past.

When you refuse, he battles you.

After losing, he says he'll locate the Legendaries himself, leaves.

Endgame Spoilers:
Professor says to meet him in the final city after 8th gym.
After gym, he reveals to you location of the wolf and how to find it.

You and professor travel to a new path to forest at edge of the region, where the professor claims the wolf is sleeping.

Humans cannot approach the wolf, because they will run away.

But with the orb, the wolf will be attracted, and approach you instead.

Walk up to the shrine of sleeping wolf, a cutscene plays, it wakes up and charges at the player. The player drops the orb before battle starts.

They look the same, their names are different. Do not have this form by default. Only transforms at start if holding the orb.

Cannot capture the wolf. It avoids the pokeball. You have to defeat it.

After beating, Team Storm Leader appears behind you with admins and members. Greets the professor and situation, legendary quickly runs off.

Team Storm Leader announces he'll hunt it down, sends Storm Grunts to scatter the area, attempts to take your orb.

Admin challenges you, after defeating her, professor tells you to go on and find the wolf before Team storm, holds off the boss for you.

If you lose there is a 2-minute long cutscene where you have to dress up as a maid for him and do anything he wants. Vice versa if you win.

Finally, I almost forgot to mention...
