I just want to give a subtle reminder, that your opinion on Pokemon has the same weight as the number of authentic copies of main games that you own.

If you don't own a mainline game for every generation, or you pirated your copies, your opinion on anything Pokemon is worthless.

they can be completely wrong if the information supplying that opinion is factually wrong. just because it's a relevant example, I've seen a hundred times now someone straight up shitting on a thing in lgpe (this example in particular speaking to repels), then answering "I didn't know, faggot, I never played that piece of shit". trolling or not, that level of assumption and lack of critical thinking simply astounds me.

Sorry, I bought them 1-2 months after release so they were roughly retail price. There's a website though that can help you when buying called pricecharting. It has the average sale price of whatever game you can think of on the second hand market and a graph showing how the price has fluctuated over its time on the market so you can better determine when to buy and know exactly when sellers are trying to screw you. How can I be expected to pay for a real copy when an emulated version provides an objectively superior experience with additional features that the real games still refuse to give us.
Even if you're looking for online play, Showdown is superior in every way to the real game.

If Gamefreak want my money they have to provide something worth paying for.
