I have a leak for you, people.

The new trailer is planned for the 5-th of April, it's gonna reveal some more gameplay elements, Scorbunny evolution, and maybe armored forms.

... speaking of which:
- Armored forms is a thing. It's not an evolution, nor just a battle mechanics. Armor is a held item that affect the pokemon's stats and appearance.
- Armored pokemon has greatly increased defenses and slightly boosted Speed, Atk and/or SpA. It seems to be a defensive counterpart for megas which usually have sky high attacking stats.
- Unlike megas, armored forms doen't need to be triggered. The pokemon switches in already wearing the armor.
- No limitations on how many armored pokemon you can use in the battle. All 6 can be armored. At least for the first time.
- There is a HUGE number of armored pokemon. Almost every final evolution got the armored form.
- Mewtwo, Lucario and a few others got version exclusive Sword and Shield forms.
- Mewtwo-Sword has equal Def and SpD, slightly increased speed and Atk being higher than SpA. Psychic/Steel, Adaptability.
- Mewtwo-Shield is a special tank like the Gen 1 Mewtwo. Pure Psychic, Unaware. Guess who beat the highest BST record.
- Reshiram only got Shield form, Zekrom only got Sword form. Don't ask me how does this make sense.
- Some armored formes are inspired by sportsmen like hockey players.
- Although armor is made of metal, Meltan has nothing to do with armored forms.
