+1 to Feebas, DexNav, Scorched Slab, and
Deoxys and Secret Bases being basically everything I wanted.
I am sure you can be picky about what is actually a creative decision versus a "newer Pokemon game" decision, but here goes:
- Adds a better, auto-piloted breeding path with a second day care and the option to fly straight to the first one.
- The Granite Cave and Sky Pillar murals giving you a bigger sense that more than two people remembered that time titans clashed, while being out of the way enough not to be egregious.
- Mirage Islands as treasure chests. Could have been bigger, sure, but each one was still "Oh, what's over he- heeeeeey!"
Finding the DNA Splicers on Kyurem's island was darkly humorous to me.- Using BuzzNav (heh heh) to add to the story in addition to being record-mixing fluff on the go.
- Did they reduce the water encounter rates? I don't remember them being bad at all.
- Opening up the National Dex pre-Elite 4. I guess it is too late to be any benefit but I am surprised they did it.
