She was the friendly/tag-a-long rival, a la Shauna/Tierno/Trevor/Hau except unlike any of the THREE gen VI rivals she actually had character development and unlike Hau she wasn't an annoying piece of shit who wasted your time talking about fucking salami sandwiches.
Unwavering Emotions is still one of the best songs from any Pokemon game, and her interactions in Nimbasa are amongst the best writing involving not only a friend/rival character, but also a gym leader and a nameless NPC.
The only real complaints I have are how her 3rd, 4th, and 5th battles are all the same party but with higher levels/evolved, and how many total rival battles there are in BW.
