>>38120327I remember using one once in Pearl I think, it's pretty strong for an early game mon and it gets decent moves, but you'll definitely start feeling that bug/flying typing once other mons catch up and heavy hitters start showing up. Maybe if it were like Bug/Rock (capitalize on the gem motif? it learns power gem when it evolves) so it at least has reasonable defenses.
Also people really don't realize how not hard it is to get one. Combee's common on honey trees and you can save scum until you get a female. Like just play up to the windworks, slather the three or so honey trees and go take a nap or something, there will be a combee waiting when you're back.
