Honestly, how would people actually react to Ash winning the Alola League? He couldn't win during Sinnoh or Kalos when he was arguably written at his best and the battles were hype as shit, but the writers finally give it to Ash, and it happens to be within the slice-of-life, comedy relief "memefaces" season.
