Need your help, /vp/ on the topic of getting into Pokemon. I feel like a brainlet in terms of that to play.

Only pokemon games I have ever played are Ruby and Diamond but only finished Ruby. I dunno if this is the kind of games to play in chronological/release order or there is good and bad ones etc.

I just need to know which games to play and which to avoid, and there's so much shit about them I just don't know where to start. I own 3DS that can also emulate GBA and SNES. No Switch yet
