This is Rowlet, an incredibly popular Pokemon from Generation VII.

Please remember that just because Rowlet is popular, doesn't mean the rest of his evolutionary line is popular. Decidueye is extremely unpopular, for example, and it's disingenuous to try and pretend otherwise just because Rowlet is popular.

Gotta be honest. When the Gen 7 starters were revealed I was on the Rowlett train. But after I saw the abomination that it evolves into I took the Incineroarpill and never looked back.

people that dislike decidueye are literally autistic. normally if you don't like a design, then fine whatever. but people that don't like decidueye seethe so much and say it literally disgusts them. I wish Rowlet was the gen 7 rep for Smash Bros to be honest. Don't get why the shillmon always HAS to be a fully evolved starter. Pikachu, Jigglypuff, and Squirtle work just fine, and arguably no gen 7 Pokemon took off more "naturally" (that is, without direct advertising favoritism from TCPi/GameFreak) than the initial Rowlet craze.
