ITT: Come up with a canon team like Red's in GSC/HGSS for each protag, using only Pokemon you're forced to encounter in their games or gift Pokemon.

Red HGSS isn't canon anymore. He canonically had a Venusaur, Pikachu, Machamp, Arcanine, Snorlax and Lapras

This should be Nate's canon team. It implied in the story that the swords of justice want to work with the protagonist to save Unova, The braviary fits with Nate more than Mandibuzz and N's Zoroark is met in the game.
