I don't understand all the hate Omega Ruby and Alpha Sapphire get on /vp/. Other than removing the Battle Frontier (and for a stupid ass reason too) I'd say it's pretty fun.

if this game DID have the frontier, it would be unquestionably the best pokemon game, but as it stands, the maison is a very robust tower clone, and the delta episode + soaring are great additions that trump any non-facility postgames

Anon, vp has been horrific for the past few years ever since Sun and Moon came out. People flooded in thinking that we 4chan is some edgy place so they started spewing dumb shite like this. Notice how generals where people discuss things like normal people are dying out and are being replaced by shitposting. ORAS were great games and although the loss of the BF was unfortunate, oRAS had many other strong points but nu/vp/ will ignore them to shitpost

Gen 1 fag here. I never liked gen 3 very much. I was a self-conscious pre-teen and then teenager at that point and Pokemon wasn't "cool" anymore. I still played them without telling anyone but the stigma attached stuck somewhat and made me look at them a little more critically. I beat Sapphire version once and put it away to play Halo. I never did get Emerald until many years later *during Black and White 2 maybe?) Despite it having my favourite starters in hindsight I can never seem to get past the 4th or 5th gyms during playthroughs before I move on to something else. I think it's the environment. It gets really boring to me for some reason and I don't like it.

Fast Forward to ORAS I've done countless unfinished nuzlockes and playthroughs of gen 3 and I no longer had the self-conscious teenager stigma of the games. I played through the remakes and the same feelings of the bad environment and just being plain bored along with the excess handholding in the remakes left me struggling to get through the game even once. I beat the Elite 4 after forcing myself through it, turned it off, and never played it since. They're easily my last favourite games in the series. I even liked Let's Go more. There's just something about Hoenn I do not like at all. I can go back and play through every other game in the series completely, but not R/S/E and their remakes

I loved ORAORAORA it felt like a real adventure with the grassy areas, volvano areas with its hot springs, flying above the clouds and diving down in the ocean etc.

Its a really good region and a fun remake dont be ashamed of liking it.

RSE are better base games than GSC for a variety of reasons, and ORAS has a lot of good aspects that people here love to ignore. Frankly, if it had the Battle Frontier, it'd be worshipped on here, probably. As it is, it's fine enough.

I had a lot of fun with ORAS, the nostalgia hit me hard. Pretty cool games to chill and remember good times. But I have to say it's not perfect tho, it has basically no challenge at all (which is normal for pkmn nowadays, sadly). and it gets worse when we have strong pokemon handed to us. But other than that, it's a totally enjoyable ride.

Before someone shits on me, I respect not liking ORAS, but only when good arguments are presented (and there are quite a few).
