That doesn't sound right to me. There are 60 frames per second in Pokemon Emerald, and 3600 frames in a minute. Two minutes would be 1/7200, which is not equal to 1/8192. Of course, this is implying that the odds here are not mutually exclusive with the the actual frames. It could be on a frame past the 8192nd one. With a dead battery, that frame will be the same every time, so it's hard to actually pinpoint it as opposed to leaving it up to chance.

Whether the battery is live or dead makes no difference in Emerald when it comes to shiny hunting. There is only ever 1 seed across all games. The only thing that changes per savefile is the shiny frames.

luckiest was my mew in jpn emerald @ ~400. most memorable is prob either groudon in ruby (took almost 40k) or poipole first legit one in the world afaik, showed up ~a week before release date lul (shout out to zuko). i only know (read: think) it’s the first because it only took a day and a half and more than a few people mentioned it being the first one they had seen

never hunted on one but some advise i would give is buy a good battery, can probably find the best one through google, and start a fresh hunt on a new battery. Just try to find how many hours of play the battery can last. I think that should help but im just free balling

I've only met two girls who shiny hunted, and both of them were years back in the late years of high school. One was immensely overweight but a generally nice person (mm'd all her shinies, had a huge collection), the other was rather mean and is now a man (pretty sure just went for shiny Eevees).
These are probably the people you'd find in your search anon.
