>>38139029>>38139206I understand the complaints about Lusamine, but I think the last trial between Poni Island and the Pokemon League, as well as Victory Road, help the story just as much as they give you more to actually do in gameplay. The pacing is better, your island challenge culminates in something rather than being thrown completely off track by Lillie's story only for you to be quickly told to wrap up at the league once that's done with. Necrozma as a boss is also much better than ultra Lusamine. You might feel that's more of a gameplay thing, I think that the strength of the climax is an important part of a story.
This is an aside, not an argument, but I think they scrapped the Looker stuff to make ultra space ride more appealing. You have to use it now if you want Ultra Beasts beyond the tutorial bit in Poni, and it wouldn't make sense for Looker's investigation to ask you to invade other worlds and kidnap their inhabitants.
