If so why arent we calling Charizard Lizardon?

Are the different localizations classed as different universes?

In the pokémon world, they speak their own language.

How we in our world call each pokémon and stuff isn't canon to their world, even the japanese names.

Obviously they're canon as names, but they're not indicative of the original creation process, i.e. Bulbasaur despite being the canon name for English speakers does not mean it's a dinosaur

The device they use to transport between dimensions is literally called a link cable. Each game is its own dimension and the link cable connects them.

Also the Rainbow Rocket plotline confirms there are clearly more than just two dimensions.
