>>38148527Consistency, much better lore (especially in gens 2- 4), better designs (after gen 4 most designs were either bad or mediocre at best, there were only few very good designs, and some generation like gen 5 and gen 7 had some really bad designs that look more like fakemon than something made by Game Freak), no matter how bad were some designs in first four generations they looked like something made by GF.
There were no weird gimmicks/redesigns/mechanics like Mega evolution, Alola forms, or Z moves that IMO seem to be completely out of place in the Pokemon universe.
Next and very important thing, there are no new cross generational Pokémon both evolutions and babies except Sylveon.
Less than 100 new pokemon pre generation after gen 5.
And last but not the least nostalgia because Japan based region games are the OG games.
I personally love more first 4 generations than other 3 (though the later ones were visually more beautiful) and I am not very optimistic about gen 8 as well.
