Abilities like Trap Arena are usless.

You have to keep chasing it, when you throw a ball more like Ultra Ball or Repeat Ball (if you caught a Psychic or Dragon before) press down on the D pad + Y I find it helps catching Pokemon.

A Repeat Ball may be better of you caught either a Dragon or Psychic type that is....

First, teach a pokemon False Swipe, then get it to lv. 100. Find Latias and hit it with False Swipe. It'll flee again but this your chance to train up a new pokemon. Get something that can learn both Mean Look and a move that can cause sleep. Get it to 100 again of course so it can last through Latias' attacks. Use mean look, then put the thing to sleep. You now need to use Dusk Balls. At night, Dusk Balls become the most powerful type of Pokeball, even stronger than ultra balls or first turn quick balls. This will give you the highest odds to catch the thing without killing it if I'm not mistaken because I wanna say frozen is the best status you can use for captures but it's not really an option here so sleep's the next best thing. Also, use the repel trick once you do manage to get all your ducks in a row to lure it out the quickest way possible. Make sure to save once you get everything set up too, obviously.

for whatever reason, i was thinking marco polo. and since a lot of adaptations seem to make latias the younger sister, i thought polo, being the echo back, would make sense. but then, i was like "polo doesn't sound like a good name" and paula was the closest name that came to mind.

tl;dr the way i name mons is really confusing, and this one is no exception.
