Awful. It takes so long just to check where they are, and you have to hope you get lucky enough to encounter one randomly while playing because they don't start in your dex. Crystal at least removes one roamer. Tedious as fuck.
>RSE
Just as bad, if not worse, than GSC, although at least there's only one roamer. I might consider it worse because you can't find it until you've beaten the game, so that removes the chance that you'll randomly encounter it during standard play.
>DPPt
Not bad at all really. It's so easy to track them, so it's really not bad at all. It's still tedious though.
>HGSS
Not quite as bad as GSC since you can view their locations quicker and start with them marked on map, but still worse than DPPt.
>BW
Pretty neat. You find out for sure where it is, and when you get there there is a nice visual indicator that you're in the right place. If it stayed for a few turns before running away it would be perfect, but as it is it's still fine.

Idk I got bored and dropped the game at around the point where you fight Xerneas. Got bored of mash-a simulator since I could pretty much mash a in the fights too, not just the dialogue.
>FRLG
Shit same as RSE, except even WORSE because the roaming horses are determined by your starter for some reason, and if raikou or entei use roar they're just gone forever.
Overall:
DPPt for ease of finding, BW for good thematic encounters. Fuck GSC, RSE and FRLG.
